If you're a Bogart fan, you should watch. You’ll learn things or refresh your memory.

Bogart was hardly like the tough, hardened men he was known for portraying. That is an interesting idea to explore, although the film – the first authorized film from his family’s estate – has a persistent reluctance to go much deeper than that.

Bogie's mark has never left the movies, as the his persona was a distinctive type of performance that was often imitated but never duplicated – it only belongs to one man. A must see for those fascinated by Bogie & Hollywood history. Looking at you, kid!

I appreciated the archive-focused biographical narrative for all of the footage included, but it’s not a very memorable work as a whole.
