Ride or Die is overwritten and overdirected to the point of being tiresome. I just felt worn out by it, not in a just-had-an-invigorating-workout kind of way, but in a just-got-groceries-the-day-before-Thanksgiving kind of way.

Adil & Bilall also put us right on the barrel of the gun with a few neat POV shots, but as a whole, Ride Or Die feels chaotic and unsure of itself.

Ride or Die shows that not only is there still life in this series, but as long as it stars Smith and Lawrence with skilled directors like Adil & Bilall, you could have Lowrey and Burnett wheeling themselves around the old folks’ home and have a blast.

Sure, it’s mindless and loud and doesn’t make a lick of sense, but none of these movies do, and so long as it’s executed in ways in which audiences can have as much fun as the cast and crew clearly did while making it, there’s little reason to complain.

Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi have unleashed themselves in a movie that is bigger, crazier, and more adrenaline-fueled than its predecessor, fully taking ownership without holding back and offering a 100% 'Bad Boys' show.
