Ten-year-old Ryan Tyler is about to experience the adventure of a lifetime as he travels to China to visit his father in The Amazing Panda Adventure. Ryan's (Ryan Slater) father, Michael (Stephen Lang), whom Ryan hasn't seen for two years, is a naturalist specializing in the study and survival of the giant pandas. On a journey into the mountains to check on one of the pandas, Ryan and his new friends save a baby panda, and as they overcome natural and man-made obstacles to return home, Ryan gains a greater understanding of himself and of his father's important work.

Parents need to know that this live-action animal adventure, which follows a young American boy who ends up saving a panda cub, features some mild peril and threatening villians. The 10-year-old protagonist and his friend, a Chinese girl, face realistic panda poachers on several occasions and plummet dangerously into a river, as well as evade gun-wielding criminals as they attempt to travel back to safety. Kids will learn about pandas, Chinese folklore, and the unconditional nature of father-son relationships.
