Director Malcolm D. Lee made the hilarious Girls Trip, but this film feels too workshopped and audience-tested to match that same organic sense of humour.

You Do You is the meaningful thematic depth of the studio's literally on-brand reboot, and that will be fine for the family audience drawn to this mostly fun, often frantic romp.

Space Jam was about self-belief, whereas this seems to be about corporate synergy.
