Adams’ performance is the highlight as she keeps this film on a much-needed leash.

Overall, Amy Adams delivers the knockout punch that will leave you floored by just how close it hits to home.

Nightbitch flirts with the animalistic but refrains from sinking its teeth too deeply into female ferity.

It its core, Nightbitch isn't just playing for laughs, despite Adams' impeccable comedic timing. It's a story about motherhood, generational trauma, and a personal need for freedom, which is sadly very relatable for first-time parents -- especially women.
