Academy Award winner Kathy Bates stars with Rupert Everett in this comic thriller about Grace Beasley and Dirk Simpson a Midwestern woman who has just lost the two most important men in her life, and the long-secret lover of the pop star Grace has idolized for years. Two completely different people forced together by their desire to find a killer and their shared quest for Unconditional Love. When Grace Beasley's (Bates) husband (Dan Aykroyd) leaves her, she travels to Chicago for a concert by the one man she has adored for years, Welsh singing star Victor Fox (Jonathan Pryce). But when Fox is murdered by a serial killer known as The Crossbow Killer, a devastated Beasley travels to London for Fox's funeral. There she encounters Dirk Simpson, who has secretly been Fox's lover for twenty years. Now, these two damaged people with nothing in common other than their love for Fox travel to Chicago determined to bring his murderer to justice.
