Humphrey Bogart, Bette Davis and Edward G. Robinson star in this hard-edged classic drama about two cutthroat rival boxing promoters.Nick Donati's (Robinson--Key Largo) star fighter has just been poached by rival promoter Turkery Morgan (Bogart--Casablanca). But when the winning boxer is knocked out in a single punch by a hotel bellhop after the fighter insults Donati's girlfriend (Davis--Now, Voyager), Donati knows he has found a new winner. But when the boxer falls in love with Donati's sheltered younger sister (Jane Bryan), Donati sets the boxer up for defeat.
