Two women on opposite sides of the globe, Amanda Woods (Cameron Diaz) and Iris Simpkins (Kate Winslet) find themselves in a similar predicament. Desperate for a change of scenery, the two women meet on the internet and swap houses for the Christmas holiday discovering that a change of address really can change your life.

It can be considered a lovely comfort film: the conflicts are not so serious, the performances are charming, the locations are beautiful, the romance is mature but never too explicit, and the comedy is gentle and even innocent. [Full review in Spanish].

The Holiday is still so utterly charming. It's like a warm hug, perfect for any time of the year but especially fitting for Christmas. The cast is stellar and Jude Law as daddy Mr Napkinhead is so swoonworthy my TV caught fire.
